Tokia Linux is simply a modified name, distro specifically it is Debian NETINST, I have mentioned it early on this thread i was playing with hostname.

What is the desktop indicator lower left corner?

FontAwesome chars

From theme.cfg i'm using FontAwesome to show three dots indicators. My installed font is "Font Awesome 5 Free-Solid-900.otf"

toolbar.workspace.font: Font Awesome 5 Free-12: Solid

From init using this code

session.screen0.workspaceNames:,    ,    ,    ,   ,

If you can't see the dots means the fontawesome isn't installed properly.
FontAwesome Cheatsheet ---Preview---

session.screen0.workspaces:	3

I have three dots because i'm having only three workspaces, If you want to add more workspaces you should add more font chars as well.

Thanks, that's clever.

Re: July 2020 Screenshots

More Buster Cinnamon on the new box, this is the end of the first round of tweaks that includes some custom cinnamon theming (highlight color in the panel, notification time-out is increased)...

I don't have any color blindness, so that icon change is dramatic on my display.

Re: July 2020 Screenshots

Final tweaks to the Arc cinnamon theme (renamed Lithium-cinnamon). 70% panel/volume/brightness transparency, 80% for the menu/notifications (maybe the other way, I just finished editing a bunch of files and it's always a minor miracle when it works. Dizzying), all blue highlights replaced with glorious St. Joseph's Aspirin for Children orange. Blech, tasted horrible as a kid.

It's not hard to change theme colors and transparency in Cinnamon, but it's not easy either. Not only is there a css file to edit, but you have to edit the individual svg image files as well.

Re: July 2020 Screenshots

Thanks, cinnamon has been a fun diversion. In spite of using a bit of RAM, or maybe because of it, it seems very snappy, the animations are fast and smooth. I definitely prefer it to GNOME with extensions.

imgur1.th.png direkt Link    antXsid.th.png direkt Link

On the left is antiX19
Through antiX I got to know and love fluxbox many years ago. I was simply thrilled by the simplicity of the configuration, the look and of course the round corners of the menu.

On the right side is antiX17 with the sid-repos.
This experiment has been running for over a year now. I installed the base-ISO, set the repos to sid during installation, updated the system and activated the repo for the siduction (kernel). If already sid, then properly. wink
If someone says oops, hmm, siduction = systemd, antiX = SysVinit big_smile  you just have to pay attention to what apt tells you, then you'll be fine.  lol

edit: I have looked again, I started with antiX-M10 and I found a picture of M11 too. (M10, M11, that was the name of antiX back then)
Those were linux times... I still have the laptop today.  big_smile

Gentoo. Slackware. CrunchBang. siduction. Void. antiX. sabayon. Even the distro names are legendary.

Except for xfdesktop. Why name almost everything xfce4-* and then have a few random names for important desktop components? Makes no sense to me.

Too bad that doesn't make sense out of context, it would be great in Bunsen Quotes!

Also, I just got a call from xkcd.com, he'd like a word with us. I told him I was eating cookies and put him on hold. Please advise.

Look at the thunar top-border drop shadow, that transparency coloring is sweet.
