Will the bl-obmenus-generator work with Lithium? I've used it with Helium with great success!
The document Dynamic menus on BunsenLabs - a comprehensive guide doesn't specifically mention Lithium, and I remember having a few issues when I tried it out earlier this year.

Hello!
I guess it would work with Lithium too, but not without some configurations within openbox because the main menu is now (semi-)dynamically created one provided with jgmenu.
So you would have to reinitiate the menu in ~/.config/openbox/bl-rc.xml and remove the hotkey from ~/.xkeybindsrc.
Anyway, I'm not sure if this is worth it. Though I am not a big fan of such changes, I came to love jgmenu, for it is pretty easy to tweak the static entries to your liking and having a dynamic menu does have it's positive sides as well. Also, the documentation and help to get into it is provided within the menu itself (as always) and the developers did a very good job here (as always! (prais the devs! )).
So the answer is: "Yes, but actually no!"

I even found more!
Just stumbled across this:
obmenu-generator
obmenu-generator produces menu data in openbox XML format. It can be integrated with with jgmenu in a number of ways.
For a short-lived menu, run this from a terminal:
jgmenu --csv-cmd="jgmenu_run ob --cmd='obmenu-generator -i'" --simple
To run jgmenu as a long-running application, set the following in your ~/.config/jgmenu/jgmenurc:
csv_cmd = jgmenu_run ob --cmd='obmenu-generator -i'

^ But jgmenu produces a searchable applications menu natively. No need for another package
There is an apps item in the default menu, or create a separate apps menu with: jgmenu - Creating an Applications Menu
