So after long time on #! and bunsenlabs I ended on mx. Mostly because of the repos etc. and it seemed like a really good idea. But now I am missing the bl open box desktop. Is it possible in a relative easy way, to install bl desktop on mx linux now when they are both buster?

Add the BunsenLabs experimental repo...
deb https://kelaino.bunsenlabs.org/~johnraff/debian lithium main
Update, upgrade and add the meta package and reboot...
sudo apt install bunsen-meta-all
Reference...
I don't care what you do at home. Would you care to explain?

^ Essentially.
That said, I believe MX Linux differs significantly from vanilla Debian - they don't use systemd for one - that might pose some challenges.

^ MX comes with systemd pre installed. One can choose to boot with or without from grub bootscreen.

^ nifty. So, was it AntiX that doesn't use systemd at all?
Offline
^ yes, AntiX is systemd free from the beginning.

Ok, just so I understand, if add the repositories, update and upgrade, reboot with systemd off, my comp will op in the bl experiemental?

^ try it?

So here is the error I get trying to add the repos on MX19b3:

I have added the BL Helium repos to MX 18 and it worked like a champ. Or was it Lithium and MX 19... anyway, it was super. Seems to me bl-exit was the only thing dependent on systemd.
@manyroads, you need to add the key for the repo like here: https://forums.bunsenlabs.org/viewtopic … 524#p81524

BL / MX / Raspbian... and a whole bunch of RHEL boxes. :)

Our new bl-exit can be edited to not use systemd. Post a new topic for this as discussions were kind of preliminary...

The current (still old) thread which discusses sytemd...
