The servant lifted off a kind of ottoman a long peacock-blue drapery, rather of the nature of a domino, on the front of which was emblazoned a large golden sun, and which was splashed here and there with flaming stars and crescents. “You’re to be dressed as Thursday, sir,” said the valet somewhat affably.

No; I don't even own a good-enough camera.

Re: Wallpapers

I grabbed 85 images from this excellent site and tarred them up:
https://github.com/Head-on-a-Stick/conf … ers.tar.gz

Unpack into ~/Pictures with:

tar xzf simplewallpapers.tar.gz -C ~/Pictures

Automatic wallpaper changer:

while true; do feh --randomize --bg-fill ~/Pictures/simplewallpapers; sleep 600; done &

Replace the "nitrogen --restore &" line in ~/.config/openbox/autostart with this line; the "sleep 600" bit changes the wallpaper every 600 seconds (10 minutes).

Re: Wallpapers

@HoaS, excellent! The link is wrong though, you have to download the parent configs-master.zip and extract the wallpaper tar from there.

Thanks!

Does Firefox not offer to download the tarball if you click on "View Raw"?

Re: Wallpapers

An attempt to redo my postXP grass to 3440x1440
3440x1440_xp_v3.th.png
3440x1440_xp_v4.th.png
slightly better render, more noise reduction;
3440x1440_xp_v5.th.png
3440x1440_xp_v6.th.png
3440x1440_xp_v7.th.png

(Grass rendered on sheepit, about 50 machines rendered this for an hour, would take about two days on singular i7)

Re: Wallpapers

OH MY!!!

I now have two new walls ... since I like the darker green grass I grabbed that and resized it to 2540x1080

Then I trimmed 620 pixels off the right side to get: brontosaurusrex_post_XP_Grass_left.png (1920x1080)
brontosaurusrex_post_XP_Grass_left.png

Then I trimmed 620 pixels off the left side to get: brontosaurusrex_post_XP_Grass_right.png (1920x1080)
brontosaurusrex_post_XP_Grass_right.png

Thank you bronto, love em!

Re: Wallpapers

YUP!  I have convert and use it for various images for conky.  That way conkly doesn't have to 'resize' 12+ weather images on the fly.

psssssst: 1920x1080  wink

Besides, I wanted the two edges without distortion.
