dd ps1 iso

Hey there,

instead of downloading isos from the internet for my acquired ps1 emulator, i decided to make isos from my original ps1 games.

dd if of
doesnt work, stops after 25kbit saying input output error

isoinfo
is not available neither command nor install, concerning block size

copying the desired image file from cd directly via drag/drop copy and paste gives same input output error^^

Have a nice weekend!
(help appreciated)

Re: dd ps1 iso

https://www.reddit.com/r/linux/comments … _using_dd/ has some hacks.
Good way seems to be

cdrdao read-cd --read-raw --datafile $PSXDIR/$1.bin --device /dev/sr0 --driver generic-mmc-raw $PSXDIR/$1.cue

So use cdrdao I guess.

Re: dd ps1 iso

i have made a second run with a security copy of that cd and it worked without the L-EC error...

but still, that new file wouldnt work in fpse either

fpse literally crashes searching for game files in that directed folder...

..the .bin file is also bigger than the cd content <700mb instead of 650mb
