(SOLVED) tint2rc (~/config/tint2) default confiuration

I'm doing ok and not ok at the moment with Bunsenlabs Helium, Im learning and enjoying it loads. I installed today and got jgmenu up and running as well as plank but Im also making mistakes to which i cant seem to rectify!

I went into the tnt2 config GUI and wanted to change a couple of things and in doing so deleted i think the original config of how it looked when i first installed Helium i.e. shutdown button in the far right corner and the icons for web browser, x terminal etc... in the far left. I think my error was I reset the config via the GUI?

My question is can i reinstall this default config thats present after a fresh install?! Is it a script I have to edit or place into a folder?! I basically want to have the shutdown options button in the far right again along with the default icons on the far left if possible?!

Im a newbie to openbox used Mint, Ubuntu, Manjaro, Elementary but nothing like Openbox, its a steep learning curve but so much more enjoyable. Must also say I love how Heilum feels and looks.

The defaults are in /usr/share/bunsen/skel/.config/tint2/

You probably messed up the panel_items in the tint2rc config: the default is

panel_items = LTSCP

thanks for the reply, how would i reset to the factory default layout as in how it looked after installation?! I have no idea as im really out of my depth with Openbox....

I also cant find the folder
/usr/share/bunsen/skel/.config/tint2/
I get as far as skel folder but there is no .config?

You need to show the Hidden folders:

In thunar use View -> Show Hidden, or use Ctrl-H
In the terminal do

ls -a /usr/share/bunsen/skel/

Copy the file that has been messed up, from skel to the home config folder, without having to view the hidden dotfiles, with eg:

cp /usr/share/bunsen/skel/.config/tint2rc ~/.config/tint2/

NB This isn't an Openbox-specific problem. I suggest you read up on Linux file management and some basic file commands - it will pay dividends later.

Don't forget you can also edit tint2 configs directly with Menu -> Preferences -> Tint2 -> Edit Tint2s -> Tint2 Editor, or just open the file with geany.
