I have bunsenlabs running on my macbook air 3.1 from the live usb.
call me stupid, but I can't find how to launch the installer.
the official web page says:
"after booting from the installation medium, you have the chance to ... install the system to your computer"
I'd really like to get this chance.

There is an option in the GRUB menu as soon as you boot up, before you reach the login screen.

I've created the usb using "Mac LINUx USB loader". It was very easy.
When I boot the live usb key I've created,
it offers some grub adjustments (no acpi ...) but no grub menu.
it boots straight to BL.

From OS X, try using this method to transfer the ISO image to the USB stick:

it is a macbook air 3.1 it can't boot on cd/dvd.
it needs a full EFI boot. the method described in the link doesn't work in this case.
Is there a way to launch the grub installer from the live BL ?

You will have to use a Debian netinstall ISO image from here:
http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/unoff … 64/iso-cd/
Then install a CLI-only system (leave all the boxes unticked in the tasksel section), boot into it and download and run johnraff's installation script:

Alternatively, you could look at Rod Smith's excellent rEFInd bootmanager.
I have no personal experience of it (or Macs) but I understand that it works very well.
