February 2019 Screenshot Thread

Welcome to the monthly BL Screenshot thread! We hope it inspires you to customize your dekstop.

Please use thumbnails. Do not embed images larger than approx 250x250px (62,500px) into posts, use thumbnails linking to a hosted image instead. Thanks!

We recommend https://scrot.moe for image uploads. After uploading your image, click "Embed codes" and copy/paste the "Thumbnail image (linked) BBCode" at the bottom of the page, done.

To open the posted scrot.moe thumbnail fullscreen in Firefox, scroll down to the Download icon on the right (next to Like and Share), right-click it and choose "Open Link in New Tab" to open the screenshot in a new browser tab, then switch to that tab.

scrot.moe was created and is maintained by our very own mrneilypops, a long-time forum member.  Thank you very much, mrneilypops!

@PackRat, icons are in the fetch and available on GitHub. I had to copy some volume icons to a custom folder to make it work with xfce4-notifyd, I'll upload to a repo within the next week, or you can do it yourself, I think I created status/48 and copied the volume PNGs. PM me if you're impatient.

Roboto (jgmenu) and Monospace (terminal). Haven't done too much with the ArchLabs defaults.

Re: February 2019 Screenshot Thread

^ Ah thats why i like them so much, im using Roboto system wide myself. Im using adobe source code pro for terminator and xos4 terminus for xterm. I thought your term fonts were something else, they render nicely anyhow.

Re: February 2019 Screenshot Thread

@PackRat, here you go. I can't remember what mods I made but it's all there. Move the theme to ~/.themes, all of Oranchelo to ~/.icons and the background to your wallpaper folder. Openbox and xfce4-notify themes are included, works on buster/lithium and should work on stretch/helium as well.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1LVkx2 … a5fsNSThod

Oranchelo is a huge icon theme package, the only theme(s) I've ever used to have Pithos icons OOTB.

Playing with my buster makeup, round 2
buster.th.png

Decisions so far (thinking out loud):
- zsh is default (extremly basic setup, no oh-my-zsh stuff)
- firefox is out (probably chromium ...)
- maybe chromium can also be the default pdf viewer
- compton disabled (by default)
- conky disabled (by default)
- Adapta still looks wrong
- Pulse audio by default
- Only one desktop by default
- urxvt is default
- Geany still default
- still Openbox
- still wbar
- tint2 still rules the galaxy
