Helium: vnc viewer and nothing

Hi
I just installed VNC viewer (xtightvncviewer) from the remote desktop pipemenu,
launched it: it displqys q small window where to input the IP address of the server
I input the IP address of my Pi
and the little window disappears and nothing happens...
reinstalled from debian packages to the same effect.
Has anyone experienced this too / could you please provide help...
I like tightvnc but will try realvnc instead see if I get it to work...
thanks

Re: Helium: vnc viewer and nothing

Try that other one or vino.

In the case of errors, it's always useful to have some feedback to work with. If xtightvncviewer crashes, try launching it from a terminal and look for error output after the window disappeared. Looking for debug command line switches in the command's man page could also be useful.

Thanks twoion, will try to provide feedback next time as you explained.
RealVNC did the job.
