January 2019 Screenshot Thread

Welcome to the monthly BL Screenshot thread! We hope it inspires you to customize your dekstop.

Please use thumbnails. Do not embed images larger than approx 250x250px (62,500px) into posts, use thumbnails linking to a hosted image instead. Thanks!

We recommend https://scrot.moe for image uploads. After uploading your image, click "Embed codes" and copy/paste the "Thumbnail image (linked) BBCode" at the bottom of the page, done.

To open the posted scrot.moe thumbnail fullscreen in Firefox, scroll down to the Download icon on the right (next to Like and Share), right-click it and choose "Open Link in New Tab" to open the screenshot in a new browser tab, then switch to that tab.

scrot.moe was created and is maintained by our very own mrneilypops, a long-time forum member.  Thank you very much, mrneilypops!

Fluxbox, polybar for system information. Using oomox to try and create some dark themes:

^ That's a qute looking menu. Just can't shake this feeling that there is some huge gap between something randomly droped into 1D handmade menu like:

urxvt
firefox
geany

and something tree based, like;

system / stuff / terminal stuff / urxvt

A really quick test

The islands and the seaside places in Greece are the ones you have in mind.
We highlanders have it fairly rough during winter.
Here are some pics I took of our frozen lake a couple of years ago.

It's a conky weather script (modded somehow).

Re: January 2019 Screenshot Thread

That fish? I tried it but unfortunately porting all of my bash_aliases would take forever, so I'm not (yet) using it regularly. It's a nice shell for interactive use though, however some things like () instead of $() feel awkward.

wismut:~
 $ wc -l .bash_aliases
650 .bash_aliases

I see. Way inland, hiding behind Albania.
I remember once spending a few weeks high up in the mountains, in the end of summer. Down by the coast everything was in beach party mode still, but up there it'd get pretty cold at night at least.
That was further south, but anyhow I remember that mountains go pretty high in Greece.

Nice Winter pics - almost like here in Southern Finland ;-)

I'm not good touching something that is already beautiful, but I always like an old style terminal. smile
Not actual desktop art, just a simple screenshot.
Thanks a lot for such a good OS and sorry for my bad English.
