Image -4 install problem

My HP zBook gen 1 uses a Radeon card.  During the install I got a request to insert a driver CD.  This also now happens with Debian 9.6, but it can be corrected by using the non-free version of Debian 9.6.  The earier versions based on Debian 9 installed without a problem.
