Which means: some assembly required!

Think I'll save it as "world.date.time.conky" and trim the window to fit better.

The "comparison" stage (if_match) only uses "%d" where the display sections use: "%d|%m %R"

And look what I found:

It uses the info seen above, (Date Time) but also has weather for the locations .. but the script, another one Teo did, is not working because the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) changed their entire site.
~/bin/daylight.sh → useless - suppose to get the image with the night shadow moving across the earth. I had to log in and down load it manually.
/media/5/Conky/scripts/WTD/majorcities → useless - HKO

And as you see the cities are no longer in the right place. Unless Mexico (City) moved west into the Pacific and Miami into the Caribbean.

Took me almost two weeks to get things "just" right. what with the night shadow and clouds covering locations.

Been there done that - had my own B&W Darkroom in my basement what seems like 100 years ago.
Photography is a nice hobby, 100% me, and good business if your good and have clients.

Found our something interesting today:

The command:
tztime %a %d %b %Y
${tztime %a %d %b %Y}
does not show the %a (day)
because it is locale I guess
and I wanted to show 1 day less
than NZ time found out NT-144 does it:
NZ Less a day: ${tztime NZ-144 %a %d %b %Y}
NZ right now: ${tztime NZ %a %d %b %Y}

${tztime NZ-144 %a %d %b %Y} ←${color1}|${color6}→ ${tztime NZ %a %d %b %Y}${color}

Which means the full version of this will be a better!
