Re: Show us your conky

Nothing special:

dDbVBZWt.png

I've tried other configs, but I always come back to this one.

Should note, that if I want my external IP, I use this:

${font sans-serif:normal:size=8}${if_up wlan0}External IP: ${execi 3600 wget -O - http://ip.tupeux.com | tail}

(removed for screenshot)

Re: Show us your conky

I keep coming back to this one.

conky_scrot.jpg

I keep all my windows on the left so I can keep the conky visible. I do this for a few reasons:

1. Because I can
2. It's pretty
3. Don't judge me
4. So I can check CPU usage, processes, etc. at a glance
5. Profit

I am working on a blue-gray version of this for other wallpapers.

Re: Show us your conky

I held back on purpose, to see what other started with and this morning I took this screenshot of the four conkys on desktop 1, they have been here for a long time with minoe tweaks and with one additional multii-month calendar to hide my face! wink

My wife choose the daily wallpaper.

@Temetka if interested I can show you a way to ${alignc} that calendar so it matches the alignment of the text above it.

So we're off to a start.

Re: Show us your conky

^Didi you already show the code somewhere? I tried to wade through the #! conky thread, but got jammed. I'd like to have two months on top of each other or side by side.  When you're in the last week of month, it would be nice to see where you're going to.

My thought's exactly when I first saw the multiple month conky by iMBeCil.  I could link to the #! thread but since we are here, and starting fresh ... let's start a thread: Conky - Calendars and link to those in there.  I added the 9 month conky you see here to the first post though.

Re: Show us your conky

The blue-gray-white version of the conky I posted earlier:

Conky_Blue.jpg

This one is on my Thinkpad which has 4 cores vs. 2 and reports fan speed. I haven't quite figured out how to get the fan speed from my other laptop (Precision M4400). But that's for another thread should I decide to pursue the matter.

@fog, that's twice I've seen "Music is your only friend" in your panel. Do you have The Doors in heavy rotation, or is that something else?
