external display only

I have got a laptop with an external screen connected to the docking station.
I would like to create setting so that this extrenal display is the only one used at start.
For the moment I have to "open" the laptop and make the changes in the GUI for ArandR.
Is there a convinent way?

you can save arandr's settings to a shell script (it has a button to do that), then add a line to ~/.config/openbox/autostart that simply executes that script.

if you need it before login, there's other ways.
i think it can even be added to the kernel command line.
