Banshee aborts when trying to import media

I'm running Helium 9.3. When I start banshee from the command line, it throws a number of exceptions but continues to run. I can navigate and play media, but when I attempt to import new media from a file, I abort with a stack trace. I've saved the text to pastebin here.

Please let me know if I should post to Debian instead (or in addition).

As always, thanks in advance!

Re: Banshee aborts when trying to import media

Seems like the bug is known https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo … bug=525451. Maybe you can bump the bug and urge the package maintainer to provide a fix. I don't think it'll come from upstream since Banshee development seems to have ceased since 2014 (only translation updates).

Thanks for the quick reply. A fix doesn't sound particularly promising, but I'm not married to Banshee, having switched to it from Rhythmbox a few years back. I might try the latter again, or otherwise look for something slicker and less buggy.
