Ok so I have a completely fresh install of BL based off whatever version of the .ISO is available as of now. Uname-a reports the following
Linux Solace 3.16.0-5-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.51-3+deb8u1 (2018-01-08) x86_64 GNU/LinuxI ran the bl-welcome script and backports should be enabled. Mainly because every time I ask for help someone tells me to enable the backports.
Anyways, I digress. Whenever I run this it tells me it can't be found
temetka@Solace:~$ sudo apt-get install budgie-desktop
[sudo] password for temetka:

E: Unable to locate package budgie-desktopand yet, it's listed in the debian repos. What gives? Can I not install Budgie on BL?
Thanks in advance for any help. ![]()
EDIT: SOLVED - Using the updated .ISO file has taken care of this. Budgie is really nice and I look forward to seeing how it progresses, but I'm really enjoying the alpha, especially the new tint2 bars and whatnot. Nice work guys. I might post some feedback in the alpha thread once I'm done playing around and tweaking things.

for jessie? sure? can you show us please?
i can't see it.
maybe you should use the new stretch-based alpha iso (which is really more like a near-release beta, bl devs being traditionally humble about it).

The budgie-desktop package is only available in stretch, buster & sid.

I was unaware of the alpha. I'm downloading it now and will report back.
Thanks.
