Require help upgrading TransmissionBT on Jessie

I'm trying to upgrade to TransmissionBT on my Bunsen server. I'm on Jessie and the current version of TransmissionBT is 2.84 and I'd like to get to 2.92 but I have no idea how. apt-get upgrade doesn't do it. Any help would be appreciated.

2.84 is the latest version of Transmission available from the Debian jessie repositories.

Why do you need 2.92?

If this is just a server then you might as well install Debian stretch instead, our desktop configuration won't help you much.

A Jessie backport:  http://mxrepo.com/mx/repo/pool/main/t/transmission/

You also need to read up on how Debian stable maintains versions of packages.
