Mmmm... Mustang
New on my desktop:
I'm making an AUR package for it
I can't believe it's not already in there, frankly
EDIT: working PKGBUILD here:
https://gist.githubusercontent.com/Head … 3/PKGBUILD
Copy that file into it's own folder and run `makepkg -sri` to build and install the package.
I'll submit it to the AUR later.

Got bored of the bloat so it's out with GNOME and (back) in with dwm:
The window manager and status readout (along with a slightly modified version of dmenu to fit the panel) are available as binary packages for Arch-based systems.
To install them, first edit /etc/pacman.conf and add my repositories to the end of the file (the position is important and they must come after the main repositories):
[home_Head_on_a_Stick_Arch_Arch_Extra]
SigLevel = Never
Server = https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/Head_on_a_Stick:/Arch/Arch_Extra/$arch
Then update the system and install the packages:
# pacman -Syu dwm hmenu hoastatus
Simple ~/.xinitrc to start it all:
urxvtd -q -f -o # daemon needs to be running for terminals to open
volumeicon & # keyboard control & popups :)
sh ~/.fehbg # paper the wall
hoastatus & # panel status readout
exec dwm # bring the noise
<Ctrl>+<Shift>+<Return> to open a terminal, <Ctrl>+<Shift>+c to close windows and the <Menu> key brings up dmenu.

Yes, I always found Mr. Kauler's reasoning to be very sound in that respect:

He makes the exact same point as XKCD, in fact:
