Pycharm

I am trying to run the Pycharm bash script and I keep running into the issue that I am running Java version 1.7 and need 1.8. I have searched the web but really confused as to how to update to 1.8.

Anyone have a how to guide as there is info where I have to add repository but running into issues there.

Kind regards

Re: Pycharm

You can install version 1.8 from the jessie-backports repositories, instructions here:

https://backports.debian.org/Instructions/

This is the package you need:

https://packages.debian.org/jessie-back … njdk-8-jre

See https://wiki.debian.org/Java for more details.
