The application open when I open a file with it but I really can't find how I can open it from the terminal. Thank you.

You need to find the command to be used. Look in '/usr/bin/' for example, or wherever deadbeef has installed the executable. Have you tried
man deadbeef

If it's a package build, the executable will be /opt/deadbeef/bin/deadbeef
The packages in the MX Linux and my own jessie multimedia ports repo follow Debian policy and are in /usr/bin...
I'm going to update ffmpeg in it to 3.2.5, and that is going to trigger an automatic rebuild of quite a few packages in there, so it make take an hour or two to shake out.

Doesn't deadbeef drop a desktop file in /usr/share/applications? Check what the Exec= line there says.
I don't care what you do at home. Would you care to explain?

Another one:
dpkg -L packagename | grep -E '/s?bin/'
...elevator in the Brain Hotel, broken down but just as well...

Thank you, using the exec line from the desktop file does the trick.
