Hi, im sort of stuck as to why i cant delete an "open with" custom action within pcmanfm drop down menu im not sure if i can or if i can what to edit, can anyone help with this please?
I did right click on folder > open with > custom command line > browse > usr/bin/audacious > application name set > ok.
Ive done some searching but if anyone knows i would like to delete the audacious entry as pictured below and if possible add an icon to the Deadbeef entry.
Thanks.
Edit: I can keep adding menu entries, so far ive got two deadbeaf and one audacious. Surely there is a function somewhere to get rid of them?

I don't use pcmanfm, but look for .desktop files in ~/.local/share/applications.

Not sure what to do there? They show up ok.
Using thunars configure custom actions works, might switch to thunar.

Take a look at this... https://lkubaski.wordpress.com/2012/10/ … d-pcmanfm/. I think it explains this pretty well.

So remove the ones you don't want
NB Thunar uses an xml file to store custom actions - '~/.config/Thunar/uca.xml'

You can also just add NoDisplay=true to the bottom of *.desktop files. After that, copy the file to ~/.local/share/applications to keep an update from overriding your preference.
I don't care what you do at home. Would you care to explain?

this.
pcmanfm calls them "userapp-*-*.desktop", BUT: you won't be able to see that name in the file manager.
just open a terminal in that folder, and look at them with 'ls' or 'cat' or 'nano' and 'rm' the ones you don'ty like.

Thanks for the help, got it fixed. Tried to delete the icons present in ~/.local/share/applications but this did not work and as noted by ohnonot it has to be done via the terminal to see the "userapp-*-*.desktop".
Cheers
