Re: May 2017 Screenshots

I wonder where i saw that logo recently? Oh yes, remember reading about @Distrowatch Looks pretty good seeing scrots. I find Fluxbox very good as well. Openbox +Fluxbox +Pekwm are the best stacks WM i ever used.

Re: May 2017 Screenshots

I bought a second 28" monitor, still trying to find some decent dual monitor wallpapers

Congrat for your new monitor Matt! I'm sure he'll serve the quality media pretty well.

Okay I think I have a better colour selection in the terminal now:

Re: May 2017 Screenshots

Managed to build a MirPort for mksh in my OpenBSD box:

2017-05-14-105845_1280x800_scrot.th.png

Please don't tell Theo...

]:D

@Dobbie: that is indeed a very nice terminal scheme, would you mind sharing it in our thread?

https://forums.bunsenlabs.org/viewtopic.php?id=206

EDIT: the MirPort installed an old version for some reason so I had to build it from the source tarball to get the latest & greatest:

empty@Puffy:~ $ echo $KSH_VERSION
@(#)MIRBSD KSH R55 2017/04/12

I now have the same shell across all platforms (including my smartphone), nice 8)

Re: May 2017 Screenshots

^ You've reminded me just how much I like B&W wallpapers. {especially with trees.}

A long time ago, a friend - who just so happens wrote the conkyForecast python script, got a new camera and took a picture of a tree.  Like a dumb nut I was I reduced it to fit my then 1280x1024 monitor.  {sigh}

Re: May 2017 Screenshots

I came to appreciate B&W when I built my first darkroom in my basement.  It was B&W only and you're right on, one gets a much better appreciation of the shapes, contrast, lighting and shadows.  There's a certain amount of imagination needed to ...

It's like music videos ... I hate them.
- - I want to 'listen' to the music and let it take me where my mind whats to go, not watching people dancing, or whatever interfering with the sounds the words ...

- - "canned laughter" - geeze man, gimme a break, if it ain't funny don't 'prompt' me to laugh.  Can ya just see it, stand up comic with a flip sign behind him [Laugh Now] - Give him the Fickle Finger of Fate!

Arch [testing] & GNOME showing the st terminal emulator with the alpha patch applied for some eyecandy transparency, still nice and light though:

 Private + Shared = RAM used Program

  1.9 MiB + 625.0 KiB =   2.5 MiB       st
