OpenBSD-current is now using the 6.1 sets, the next release must be due soon...

Version 6.1 will include syspatch(8) which will allow automatic patching of the base system, this will make maintenance of OpenBSD-stable significantly easier.

^Just a few pixels away from epic! Why do the corners in this 2014 Compiz/Emerald scrot seem so much smoother? Is it just the dark background, do you think?

Yes, I think so.

My window border colour contrasts sharply with that background, it was probably a poor choice for a money shot...

hmm

I don't mind the rounded window corners, but IMO it looks weird for the menu hmm

Re: March 2017 Screenshots

Since it's my first stretch theme (gtk3 >3.20), I'm posting this here first so my homeboys can test it.

SoftWaves, a theme based on the default stretch wallpaper (softWaves by Juliette Taka Belin) and Greybird (by Shimmer Project).

Screenshot_2017-03-07_21-40-27.th.png  Screenshot_2017-03-07_21-41-28.th.png

https://www.dropbox.com/s/qaswx18mo67tx … ar.gz?dl=0

Includes themes for Openbox, GTK2/3 and Xfce4-notifyd (backwards compatible with jessie's package, shown in the scrot), and a wallpaper in SVG format (2048x1152).

You don't need a Dropbox account to download it, just dismiss the dialog and click Download again.

You're right. It does look odd. The 'roundness' needs to scale(?) with the length of the sides or something...

Re: March 2017 Screenshots

I think slightly bigger padding would solve that, scaling roundness will not.
p.s. Kinda interesting question it is, how round (if any) is pretty

The centre cube suits my eye. It may be that no "sharp" edge is "natural" - there is always some softening - hence the usual recommendation to have some bevelling on rendered objects.

WRT themeing, I think I have a gut reaction to things that remind me of Windoze hmm

^Nice! That's a really cool wallpaper, I like that theme (only I prefer a bit lighter color window frame). I'm wondering though why are there two sound icons (one for the music player)? Looks great anyhow.

Re: March 2017 Screenshots

@HoaS, what are the confused googly eyes for?

@Martix, the left is a custom icon for Pithos (not a fan of the urn thing in my systray), the right is the default volume applet in lxpanel.

Openbox themes haven't broken in stretch, you can use whatever you like (Bunsen-Dark, for example).

^Ah, you had me worried that my eyesight was worse than it already is. And I guess aesthetic is The Word of the Day. tongue

@PackRat, I meant to thank you for testing. I've never seen scollbars on the left, I gather that's done via ~/.gtkrc-2.0. Is there a way to do it in gtk3 apps also? It would make a good beginner's tip. smile
