Openbox "Show Desktop" hides notifications

I've posted elsewhere that S+d (show desktop) hides conky and was informed that own_window_type desktop was the solution, but what about xfce4-notifyd notifications? Even new ones won't display if I've minimized all apps this way.

I think you can set up a per-app condition for the notify windows -

Looks like you can set strict to no for ToggleShowDesktop and then set up the notification window (any window, I suppose) to display.

Might have to set up a iconify=no condition for the notify window in the rc.xml.

Just theorizing here since I never use the show desktop function.
