Show us your Mandelbulber render

Mandelbulber2 - Renders Collection

Use this thread to show off your productions, and the fract settings used to produce them!

For BunsenLabs you can install Mandelbulber from "Menu -> Graphics -> Install". This is enough to have a lot of fun, but for a better gui, and more features, use the Mandelbulber2 development version.
Krzysztof Marczak's DeviantArt link: Mandelbulber-v2-2-08

@stevep has packaged this for us, so you can install it in BunsenLabs (Debian Jessie) using the link posted in "Scripts, Tutorials & Tips » Mandelbulber2 on jessie and stretch", post #12.
(That thread also has build instructions if you want to build from source)

I zoomed in on part of the Amazing_Surf_Mod1 pre-set, and found some lovely detail. It could almost be a satellite image!

Re: Show us your Mandelbulber render

This is nice! I only used Apophysis which only works on windows unless you run it on wine. I was looking for an alternative that works on native linux. This looks like more advance and awesome.

Re: Show us your Mandelbulber render

^ I think that the likes of Apophysyis have more effects, especially post effects, layers effects etc. Also tweaking the formulae is probably easier, although it is a long time since I had a go with it.

But if you persevere with MB you can do some great stuff!

Rendered with Mandelbulber2;
Post with GIMP 2.9 - mostly levels and removing fireflies, added shadow, but basically it is a raw fractal render, with a layer for the figure.

Modified amoxmodkali_001 formula, with cube primitive and floor plane with a displacement texture.

I try to render at double 1920x1080 (ie 3840x2160), and a low raymarching DE (0.1 if possible - veeery slow for volumetrics).  Occasionally twice that, if I think the image might be worth it.

I have been getting render crashes for some fracts, even though I should have loads of memory, and the MB terminal output doesn't help like blender's does. So I reduce the size to whatever it takes to render all the way.
