I've run into an issue with Tint2 and multiple monitors. Whenever I connect or disconnect my external monitor (as I do multiple times a day) the Tint2 open window icons get distorted. I can fix the problem by restarting the compositor (Compton) but it's kind of a pain to do this multiple times a day. Any ideas for how to fix this?

How do you configure the external monitors?
Post output of xrandr.
2 monitors on top of each other with the tint2 in between will not work.
If you have such a setup, configure tint2 on the side or on the bottom.

Couple of thoughts, if @xaos52's approach doesn't apply:
Write a udev rule to restart the compositor when plugging/unplugging.
Restart compton with a hotkey bound to '/usr/bin/bl-compositor --restart', which isn't a PITA imo

Thanks damo for your thoughts - I'll try that if we can't figure anything else out.
