You can try backporting the newer version from testing/unstable:
https://wiki.debian.org/SimpleBackportCreation
*Do not* attempt to add testing/unstable repositories as they will break your system.
its not work

Im sorry for the lack of precision.
I just wanted to add the ability to update Qoud Libet to version 3.6.2.
I did what I wrote in "code", but still able to install the old version 3.2.2.
I would only add that officially stable version.

But it isn't in Debian Stable, so you would have to make a backported package as suggested, or live with the current one.

3.2.2 is the newest verson available from Debian stable.
https://packages.debian.org/jessie/quodlibet
The package versions in Debian stable get "frozen" about six months before the release (December 2014 in the case of jessie) and no new package versions are added after then (with a few exceptions) to ensure maximum reliability and to minimise bugs.

Bury,
there is no newer version of quodlibet available for debian stable/jessie.
it is also not in debian-backports, i just had a look.
so, your best option is to create your own backport, as pointed out in post #2.
it's not difficult to do, but not for newbies, either.
all other attempts, like adding strange sources, willmost likely break your system, sooner or later.

Ok.
Thanks for the help from post #2 After several months of testing newest version QL, system is stable.
Thank you all for your help!

Backporting QL 3.7.0 from Stretch will require at least python-sphinx >= 1.3, jessie-backports has 1.3.6, so save yourself some time and add that.

Running QL 3.8 from site. Tested it on Devuan testing. QL offers 2 separate sources list for stable or unstable. Used the unstable for Devuan testing - (ascii/ceres).

What is really cool and honestly haven't installed QL in several years, but it's got radio and it works quite nicely! : )
