Problem with recovering files on Bunsenlabs.

Hi guys, I was wondering how you guys recover your deleted files on bunsenlabs (lb). Currently, I installed lb on my old Dell laptop and everything run smoothly. One day, I was trying to put file into a folder then it disappeared all in a sudden after rebooting the laptop. I got an error message that I haven't seen before instead of the replacing error massage. Do you guys have any idea do to deal with this? Thanks.

Can you remember exactly what the message was?

If you can reproduce the error and post it here verbatim that would be fantastic.

In cases like this, simply entering the exact error message into the search box at https://www.startpage.com/ will often lead you straight to a solution wink

If you are using an ext4 filesystem have a look at extundelete:
https://packages.debian.org/jessie/extundelete

Usage guide here:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/fi … xtundelete

There are several other possible solutions on that page.

If all else fails, restore your backup.

You do have a backup, right?
