I use Icedove regularly for mail, and while I had no trouble figuring out how to add it to the Openbox menu, I would also like to add it to the four icons present in the tint2 menubar. Is this possible and if so, how would I do this?

I don't know about the '"NEM mail", but if you want to add something to the 4 small left icons, do following:
1) rightclick on desktop, choose: Preferences | Tint2 | Edit Tint2s | Default Tint2rc ... 'geany' (text editor) will open with tint2 config file
2) find line with
launcher_item_app = /usr/share/applications/bl-www-browser.desktop
3) Form this line, learn how to add yet another item; copy-paste this line, add your item, save changes
4) Rightclick on desktop, choose: Preferences | Tint2 | Restart tint2
5) ??????????
6) Profit!
Hope this helps. I successfully tested it with 'evince'. If you need more help, please let us know.

Thanks, WAAAT? I tried exactly what you suggested on my own before, but it didn't work. What I eventually realized by looking at the structure of the launcher lines is that the name of the app isn't capitalized. Once I removed the cap, all was well. This means I don't have to add a launcher panel to BL to get what I want. Cheers!

Those are the names of actual files in /usr/share/applications/ You can run 'ls /usr/share/applications' to see them all. The tint2 entry has to refer to a real something.desktop file.
