I think virus protectors are only really used to check emails to make sure you're not sending viruses to Windows users.

Of course, there are viruses in Linux but they are pretty rare.

Lots of other nasty things to worry about anyway lol

Secure Boot helps with this, I will be updating my guide soon so that it actually works smile

EDIT: Of course, this totally ignores the hardware-level malware that was revealed by Edward Snowden. There's nothing you can do about that anyway so why worry...
