hp stream 13 / budget laptop

HP-Stream-13-C131NG--Notebook-mit-13.3-Zoll--32-GB-Speicher--2-GB-RAM--Celeron-Prozessor--Windows-10-Home-%2864-Bit%29--Cobalt-Blau-Gradient-Linear-Carbon-Design

Any experience to share with Hp stream 13 and Linux in general? (Probably I'll do Arch, but could be Debian).

I went for the slightly more expensive hp255 G4 so as to get full HD and Optical Drive but reports suggest the straam is OK for linux also. e.g. Stream

Yeah, I guess 15" also makes lots of difference, especially for dev stuff/reading (Currently waiting for some money to fall from the sky ...). But I also guess that 15" machine is way heavier (I"am a fanatik bicyclist).

If you are buying a new laptop, buy one with at least 4GB ram.

Depends what you're going to do with it. I have a *very* budget 11" 2Gb Atom laptop that performs admirably with everything I throw at it, including Unity game development. My main machine is a 13" 8Gb Core i7 laptop, I find 13" to be an ideal comprimise between size and portability. Again, it depends what you intend to do with it.

Re: hp stream 13 / budget laptop

Just a notice about the prices:
Slighly used stream 13 goes for 100 eur here, new one second hand should be under 200 eur.
(I'd rather give 100 eur max. I can't take laptops seriously, no matter what they have inside.)
