[SOLVED]Castle of the Winds

Hello! This might be a long shot.

I'm trying to play an old old game on wine. Everything boots up and runs fine except the visual effects. For example, when you shoot a magic arrow at a bad guy, a little green magic arrow is supposed to (but doesn't) shoot across the screen from your character to the bad guy.

Visual effects are enabled per the in-game settings. I've set the wine preference for this game to Windows 95, which is the system I originally played it on. I checked WineHQ (and Googled around) and saw people said it works fine, but not a lot of other detail. I'm using KDE on Debian 8 and have tried with and without display compositing.

Happy to hear from anyone who might have an idea - either way, have a great day!

I had problems with EVE + wine, i tried playonlinux and the solved my problems for me ^^

I ended up running it on Windows 3.1 via DOSBox. Works fine, looks good!
