Changing icon, Openbox and GTK themes, but can't find that regular white mouse pointer that's default on most other distro's and just looks better with your preferred themes? Looking in lxappearance (that's Menu > Preferences > Appearance) at the Mouse Cursor tab and it only lists Adwaita?
That's exactly where I found myself tonight! But not to worry, the solution is very simple:
Open a terminal
Run
sudo apt-get install dmz-cursor-theme
Run
lxappearance
On the Mouse Cursor tab choose DMZ (White) and click Apply
Log out and back in
Voila, you now have a white mouse pointer, and eternal peace of mind

Thanks for the post!
dmz-cursor-theme will be on our rc2 ISO (due by the end of this month), we added it to the package list weeks ago. I think we set the color in BL to white by default, not sure though.
I don't care what you do at home. Would you care to explain?

^Yes, it's set to "DMZ-White" in ~/.gtkrc-2.0 and ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini
