Nice write-up, thanks! I was wondering how you proceeded. So basically do a net-install of the basic system, boot up into console and run the BL script?

You mean, a Devuan iso? Or, I guess they exist already, so a BL/Devuan iso?

That would be nice, I do need a Devuan base to debug bl-exit, but also need some free time right now. If anyone felt like playing with loginctl on Devuan, I have a few suggested avenues for exploration...

For your needs, or for anyone using openbox, that's the end of the search. But the BL utilities are meant to be as modular as possible, and we'd like them to work as they are with any window manager. That's why it would be nice if we could find out how to make loginctl+elogind work as well as loginctl+systemd.
