Good call.
@dobbie03 Looks like it goes well to me. nice. Unnerving background, I guess that's the point.
I was more interested in the colours rather than the background But yes, it is unnerving.
Looks all good to me @Dobbie !
Cheers Mate!

I decided that I didn't really like that terminal colourscheme. It isn't comfortable to work with.
lol, more like it @Dobbie !

BL on my desktop, running incredible. I know it looks like a funny long shaped image but I have two matching displays and it just combines them in a screenshot.

Oh, I got ya. I hope I didn't seem critical. I love all your screenshots.

Nice. Your grabbing the wrong link, though. There should be a "BB Code" or "Forums" link that links the thumbnail to the full-size scrot.
imgur doesn't offer that link anymore (you have to correct the formatting yourself). Use imgbb.com, under "Embed codes" there's a selection for "BBCode thumbnail linked"...
The thumbnail gets cropped, oh well. To see the real full-size scrot, from the page the thumbnail brings you to, right-click the image and choose "View image in new tab".

@hhh using postimage and chose the same link "For forums" to post this screenshot. Please see my laptop screenshot on previous page of this forum thread. It worked just fine.
**Ok, instead of using 'Quick screenshot+upload" in the menu, I tried menu-all aplications-accesories- quick screensot and it shows BB Code links. I selected BB Code - Thumbnail linked and it seems to work.
Thanks hhh, hope I got this right. lol, I'm not as stupid as I must seem.

Not at all and even if you were being critical, there would be no issues from me, we all like what we like, and it always doesn't align .

Spent the morning tweaking dmenu, added the Xresources patch and columns patch. I'm liking my tweaked colour scheme too. Updated slstatus to match.
Excuse the bar covering conky, I normally have the bar hidden.

@Dobbie03, Love the grey scale city scape. What music player do you use, it's so cool.

Everybody (not just you @hhh) seems to be having issues with imgur and the built-in BL screenshot utilities, but they work fine for me... except yes you do have to clean up the formatting of the BB code that xfce4-screenshooter generates. It's not particularly hard though.
When I hit "Quick Screenshot+Upload" on the menu, first I get this window:
Click OK, and get:
along with a notification popup that the code is already on the clipboard.
Middle-click of the mouse, or Ctrl+V, to paste in this code:
[url=https://i.imgur.com/GgLHIMu.png][img]https://i.imgur.com/GgLHIMut.png[/img][/url]
Which results in this image:
It's a small thumbnail, but if you change the last letter of the filename inside the img tag from t to m or l, eg for m:
[url=https://i.imgur.com/GgLHIMu.png][img]https://i.imgur.com/GgLHIMum.png[/img][/url]
I think "Quick Screenshot+Upload" is very handy.
---
I took these screenshots of the screenshooter using another BL built-in: hit PrtSc (maybe Fn+PrtSc on some keyboards) to call up xfce4-screenshooter which gives you more options, including copying the active window only, which is handy in cases like this. There is, though, an issue with the formatting that xfce4-screenshooter gives you. Choose "Embed into Code" + "BBCODE" + "LINK to Full Size" + "Medium" and you get code with linebreaks like this:
[url=https://imgur.com/MlnXMK3.png]
[img]https://imgur.com/MlnXMK3l.png[/img]
[/url]
When you copy it in you have to straighten it out
[url=https://imgur.com/MlnXMK3.png][img]https://imgur.com/MlnXMK3l.png[/img][/url]
Also xfce4-screenshooter offers sizes "tiny" "medium" and "full". "Full" is a direct link, "tiny" is a tiny thumbnail (final letter t) and "medium" is a large thumbnail (final letter l). To get a medium-sized thumbnail, which is what I usually want, you have to edit the code, eg the above MlnXMK3l to MlnXMK3m:

It appears that way, but it's all pretty simple. Hit me up when you are ready and I can assist.

Hatchery - fvwm3, eww panel -
https://thumbs2.imgbox.com/fb/90/7hwCOJ7m_t.png
I just learnt of eww today, and came to the forums to see whether anyone here had heard of it. It looks like a much more complex kind of tint2. Have you created much with it? What do you think of it?

I have not created much at all with it. If you have ever used awesome window manager, eww is more like awesome widgits user can pretty much make what they want with it. Makes for a nice panel or desktop widgit, but you need some scripting skills to get the most out of it; not a simple text file configuration like tint2.

yes, to me it looks beautiful but also very complicated. I am not too bright at scripting and programming but EWW is something I will keep my eye on until it becomes more accessible, as it inevitably will become, by being made more user friendly rather than programmer friendly. Hopefully the project will last long enough for people to simplify it and make it more accessible to people who dont have the time to go on such a steep learning curve.

The project should last. It's a popular panel option for Wayland compositors like hyprland and river. Moving forward, there should be some pretty good configurations available for download. The one for hatchery is pretty standard; once you have those files and see how it's put together it's not too difficult to make your own edits or additions.
