Re: December 2023 Screenshots

BL Boron RC2 -

Screenshot-2023-12-19-16-10-45.png

everything working out of the box. Made some changes to tint2 and picom; no problems with restart.

Edit - install to metal on the old (2011) HP, legacy BIOS. Runs smooth and everything working out of the box. Install went to completion no problems:

I was using Boron most of the day without issues. Typical use - surf web, play music and videos...

Everything working as it should.

Re: December 2023 Screenshots

This Lenovo has a hard-soldered RAM of 4G. Turns out it also has an empty removable slot for additional DDR4. I saw conflicting reports of how much RAM you can shove in there, but the Lenovo site says you can put an 8G SODIMM 2666 DDR4 in there, so that's what I did.

From 4G to 12G for $23 US, that's a decent upgrade.

Happy Solstice 2023, everyone.

I like this one...

I like to think that it hurt Villeneuve's brain that he had that many colors in a single shot in his movie. Not happening in Dune, that's for sure.

Why Blade Runner 2049 was a box office bomb... Take a movie that was derided for being too long and too slow and make it 3 times longer and slower, with a plot so convoluted that even Jared Leto couldn't follow it.

Same for Dune. Thank goodness for the David Lynch version. The film is flawed beyond belief, but it sure as hell is entertaining.
