^Yes, both gone from the stuff bl-welcome offers.
bunsen-images-archives (not extra) is available for install via apt the usual way. It holds background images for BL older than Beryllium (ie current release -1). The other odds and ends that were in bunsen-images-extra are still in the github repo but not packaged atm.
dropbox can be installed from the menu > System Settings > Install Favourite Packages > Utilities
EDIT: I lied about bunsen-images-archives It's still offered from bl-welcome.
The next upgrade of bunsen-welcome will see it dropped, though I don't think it's such a big deal. I think it was the *-extra stuff you mainly wanted out, right?
EDIT2: New bunsen-welcome 12.2.2-1 now uploaded. There was also a bugfix needed for the adding-backports part.

@johnraff With
sudo apt remove bunsen-apt-update-checker
there was no effect, same error messages remained. Similar error as https://forums.bunsenlabs.org/viewtopic … 77#p128477, so nothing new here. Maybe i have messed up with the os somehow.
The programs i installed work quite with no problem.

^ One more thing to check:
sudo apt purge bunsen-apt-update-checker
(I should have posted that in the first place.)
If the error messages still remain, it means:
1) bunsen-apt-update-checker is probably OK
but
2) There's another problem somewhere - possibly some other package with strange configuration.

@johnraff Hi! First sudo apt purge bunsen-apt-update-checker. Clocked 7min.
prtscr at Gdrive https://tinyurl.com/2j4wmzm4.
Then installed mousepad (unintetionally via Synaptic)
png.file at Gdrive (more than 15min):

update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-6.1.0-11-amd64
seems to take the most time during a install/uninstall process.
Hope this is of some help.
ED 7th Sept:
Sharing the above pictures at Gdrive was faulty. The links to the two install/uninstall screenshots at terminal should now work if of interest.

Alpha 1 worked fine on my LG laptop when it was released. Tried installing using Alpha 1 today and when the welcome script ran I got the following errors after it tried to update the system:
Errors were encountered while processing:

I would like to understand this error, because I do not have it.
Please show the output of the following commands in the terminal in code-tags:
sudo apt update
sudo apt dist-upgrade
inxi -r
apt policy raspi-firmware
Thanks

I reinstalled boron alpha 1 iso. 1st upgrade seemed to succeed well, and os appeared to work
ok. Then intallation and purging bunsen-update-checker were as problematic as earlier. At Gdrive: http://tinyurl.com/3vmwm8wx, http://tinyurl.com/4s8c823w.
Quite puzzling..

^Two screenshots on a cloud server I labeled as shared at the forum. I can access them in usual manner from my browser myself though 'm no longer logged in at Gdrive. Perhaps there's a more easy way to present a sreenhot.png at this forum, haven't found out yet how yet.:)
You are sure to use bunsenlabs?
Apart from screenshot's, I had asked for the terminal outputs....

Just starting to try the Boron amd64 alpha and the i386 beta.
the AMD live runs fine, a nice breakthrough in design, it looks faster.
The i386 doesn't start properly in my Sony VAIO laptop, just black screen with the arrow cursor (than can be moved) that stays there forever.
I'll try to install them on bare metal later on.
Congrats for the nice work!.
Jes.
3D or not 3D, that is not anymore the question.

You have tested to boot with kerneloption "nomodeset"?

@matollik,
you have to uninstall raspi-firmware first!
Here and the following: https://forums.bunsenlabs.org/viewtopic … 00#p128500

^It's a few posts further down, but this one too: https://forums.bunsenlabs.org/viewtopic … 16#p128516
You should purge the package and then remove some unwanted files in /boot.
The issue has been fixed in our live-build configs and should be gone in the forthcoming beta builds.

It works but only with a low resolution screen mode (1024x768) and I can't change it.

Yes, but it boots. If you boot to the installer, you can install. If you boot an installed system, you have a graphical login and can fix better resolution if it is fixable.
