glittersloth: I always figured quotable posts on this forum were like morning wood - a daily occurrence.

I'am all for consistency and it makes me look smart.

@nore: Does it mean anything without a context?

Works in any communication related context. I read it with stress on word "look".
Just noticed that extra apostrophe.
I am all for consistency and it makes me look smart.

i think my current practice (*) here is to simply use the quotes presented, if there are no objections (incl. my own).
but you, brontosaurusrex, seem to be objecting, however mildly, so i will wait for your confirmation.
since i don't know what the OP looked like before the mod edit, i don't know what this is all about anyway, but the quote sounds amusing enough on its own.
(*) it seems i am less than consistent. does that make me look stupid?

Lol, yes! jk, this a great project.

And I agree that it's funny as hell in context, not so much stand-alone.
-edit The mod edit was me, just removing quotes from the OP announcement. Nothing to write home about.
No, he can't sleep on the floor. What do you think I'm yelling for?!!!

Someone posted it on the debian-user mailing list the other day. I don't know if they were quoting from elsewhere or not. We could add it, attributed to "anon" perhaps?
added & pushed.
PS: forum software balks at 4 nested quotes?!

^A number of good quotes on that Linus thread.
Linux is running on medical equipment, phones people need to call 911 with, cars, aircraft, hazardous industrial plants, and probably a toilet somewhere. Feelings don't matter there.

Hey, stop toilet-shaming me. Feelings are real, especially after Buffalo wings.

@johnraff, Charelston was evacuated Tuesday for a storm predicted to hit Friday night. Our restaurant opened Wednesday and then closed til Monday. Thursday was beautiful. Friday I decided to stay downtown, and that night was light rain with wind gusts of 25mph. Same with Saturday. We got less than 2 inches of rain, and there was no storm surge and no flooding. I didn't lose power or Internet, it wasn't even the worst storm of the year. not by a long shot. Everything went to the northwest of here. This whole week has been summer as usual with temps in the low 90s F.
The only impact here was on the economy since the hotels had to be evacuated (we're primarily a tourist destination) and most people left.

Charleston was evacuated Tuesday...
Good grief - that's a big city to evacuate!
Anyway, glad it was all OK in the end.

Almost 700,000 people, so not huge but nothing to sniff at either.
Thanks for the warm wishes!

And bunsen-fortune 9.1.2-1, incorporating recent additions, is now in GitHub and should be hitting the repos before long.
Please keep up the good work!
