I'll push it this weekend, or next week at the latest. Here's the repo to watch. I'll make an announcement here when it's out...

Here it is more-or-less finished, and very claustophobic with all those windows open, for BL Openbox...

@damo rocks. Proof? BLOB scrots!
Oh yeah! This looks like a very hopeful direction for the default theme.
Add some compton drop shadows to help tell the windows apart?

I assumed we'd leave compton defaults as they are now (they're good). This is just my personal config, the active window is opaque while inactive ones have transparency.
With a different wall, back on my Plasma desktop...

So the screenshot you posted is not actually a suggested possible BL config? I ask because there are no drop shadows I can see (which the defaults have) and I thought that might help with the window claustrophobia.

@PR, very tidy. Great wallpaper!

The compton config in that scrot is here...
https://github.com/hhhorb/lithium-theme … mpton.conf
As you can see, it's the current He default with shadows off and active transparency enabled and adjusted. As to what configs should be included in Li, I'll make a proposal at a later date.
In general I'm proposing a leaner selection of themes, walls and configs for the default install. We should discuss this in the Dev forum as we get closer to releasing test ISOs / when you're ready to build new packages for bunsen-images and bunsen-configs.

I read @johnraff's post about Gnome/Wayland in the News forum, thought I'd check it out. It's great! Using nautilus, gnome-terminal, and the Gnome 'Dock To Panel' extension...
A bit of an ordeal to make it leaner and prettier, I'll post it all in a Dev thread later and link it.

^ That Dock to Panel extension is looking good. Need to try it.

My carelessness, it's called 'Dash to Panel".

^There are still some glitches with Wayland though (mentioned in the article) so I think we're OK staying with X, at least for Lithium (leaving aside the whole concept of a Gnome-based BL... ).
BTW a new set of bunsen-images can be released any time. There's nothing particular I can think of to do at this end.

Wayland is crap still on KDE, at least on buster...
https://community.kde.org/Plasma/Wayland_Showstoppers
This was a fun experiment. Wayland is pretty stable on GNOME. About this stable...
Plasma on X is much better in every way, and BL Openbox is way better than GNOME Wayland. I ran an Openbox session along side this Wayland one with no issues, other than adapting it for GNOME (gdm3 instead of lightdm, nautilus instead of thunar. That was pretty much it.)
-edit- I have to say, I keep logging in to this GNOME/Wayland session. Maybe because I had to do an awful lot to get it comparable to my Xorg sessions, I like the notifications... I don't know. It's an evil Witch OOTB... automatic updates, gnome-online accounts (goa), gjs (some javascript framework monkey poo that makes the whole thing work :monkey: ).
Tracker. What the hell is Tracker. I masked it, you can't remove it...
https://www.soimort.org/notes/171103/
tl;dr...
Copy the autostart file and override it with a user-specific one: $ cp /etc/xdg/autostart/tracker-store.desktop ~/.config/autostart/tracker-store.desktop
and append to it:
Hidden=true
(The same step also applies for tracker’s friends, such as tracker-miner-fs, etc.)
Mask (which is the strongest yet nondestructive way to “disable” a static systemd service completely [4]) all tracker-related services:$ systemctl --user mask tracker-store
Run both commands as user, no sudo needed. Reboot.
