yep.
it has to be learned, and surprisingly many aren't able to.

there seems to be some kind of myth about how finland is an eldorado of well-paid jobs - that maybe held true 10 years ago, and only for the IT sector.
But you guys still drive rally cars to work, right? Hard left 30 degrees followed by easy right over crest with mild camber, ohnonotinen.

i live in the city, which is basically just like cities everywhere.
here in the capital region the bus drivers are the real menace of the roads; the 13km from my home to the city take 20min even under non-optimal conditions.
in the countryside, things are different.
there's a high percentage of gravel roads in summer, and most roads are basically ice in winter.

In the morning, I go outside, put on my skis and lasso a bypassing moose.

It's actually not very surprising to see such a variety in walks of life amongst Linux enthusiasts. It matches variation in ways we are using it.

@ohnonot, I wish you had posted a warning with that jpeg!
What was that Top Gear episode about how everyone in a Scandinavian country was essentially trained as a rally car driver from their teens, was that Sweden? No, it was Finland...

swear to god, everyday (at least this time of the year) reality.
gives me the willies (and an almost phobic compulsion to use hand desinfectant after i help them get clean) but also the giggles, every time.
anyhow, this was just a random online pic.
the other day, you should have seen those 2 green sticks descending vertically from the nostrils down to the chin.
and such a happy smile on her face!
gotta love how uninhibited kids are.

It made me throw up in my mouth a little and I have 2 kids (17 and 11).
If I were to work with kids it would have to be in a college environment, and yes many college freshmen are still kids.

In my experience adults are as "bad" as children with classical teacher/student setup (talking at the wrong time, doing just the opposite as told 3 seconds ago, trying to be friends with a teacher for a better grade, being incredibly lazy, etc).
p.s. Actually it is even worse if you have a bunch of adult ladies, those will use other means to get the desired (even if it is totally obvious that the cliche is in place).

i have noticed this expression go around the internet recently.
but why, if there's a verb for it:
Verb
gag (third-person singular simple present gags, present participle gagging, simple past and past participle gagged)
(intransitive) To experience the vomiting reflex.
He gagged when he saw the open wound

I think children are crueller than adults or rather that they have less understanding of social norms etc. and just work on instinct (kill, maim, dominate, humiliate).

I believe children are simply more honest and express themselves accordingly. 'Cruelty' is an implication of willful intent.

None...I'm unemployed and slowly draining my retirement fund. I have been looking for quite awhile, but no offers yet; very frustrating.

@KrunchTime,
I'm sorry to hear that. It can be quite discouraging (I know). I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you.
