@B-Rexosaurus... Dude, that is gorgeous. Those min/max/close buttons are suh-WEET!
No, he can't sleep on the floor. What do you think I'm yelling for?!!!

I think I'll propose something close to this as the default desktop for Lithium (except thunar will be configured as it is now, clipit and pnmixer will still be in the systray and the main menu will still be huge)...
Too much green cyan teal?
-edit- We also want to include jgmenu in the panel, and the power icon as well. Launchers will need to be discussed. I'm for dropping them, but it's an easy user fix, so we'll see.

That's a minimal menu!

@hhh, that's just one of the buildin themes. Is fluxbox extremly more resource hungry than openbox?

No, they are about the same.
Void linux on HP laptop:
4.9 MiB + 1.5 MiB = 6.3 MiB fluxbox
4.7 MiB + 2.9 MiB = 7.6 MiB openbox

@PackRat; Thanks. Slightly more elaborate try at fluxbox (1.3.7)
dotfiles (Still needs a lot of work).

I hate hate hate nested menus. There are a few entries in BL that will stretch to four panels wide, I absolutely detest navigating those. xfce4-appfinder FTW. Here's to incorporating jgmenu into BL!

What difference would that make?

^ maybe a hybrid?
We could do a directory-less app launcher, but with the ability to
- filter by category
- display traditional openbox menu

You have a wonderful talent for pointing out gaps in my logic. However, word search is a feature I like in menus, which is why I use dmenu when I'm on a stock BL install.

^word search, yes indeed.
And we could indeed have a look at simplifying our default menu a bit for Buster.
Maybe BLOB could be extended to allow alternative menus along with graphics, or would that be pushing the concept too far?
