This was huuuuge pain to setup so far ....

Quick question: Can't use xsetroot with compton and hsetroot is not in centos repos (also there is no nitrogen or feh), what would one use instead? (p.s. Was not able to compile nitrogen either)

Since it's CentOS, have you tried to get the hsetroot (nitrogen, feh) rpm files from Fedora ( or git, there are a couple of forks ) and attempt install/compile it?

@hhh, Seems to be default on centos7..., no idea why (After all the time wasted on this retro-os, I'd definitely just go with Debian (or anything else, heck I'll take win10 even), even if it is not officially supported by Resolve).

^ Looks like they (RedHat) use an old kernel for stability (updates until 2024!) and then backport security fixes into it.

I now have my retort whenever someone says Debian-stable software is old!
