Are you connecting with netctl or something equally low-level?

I think KDE expects to find NetworkManager controlling the connections and complains if it isn't.

After some of the previous posts I've been playing with `hsetroot`. The following command...

hsetroot -add "#191919" -add "#2d3335" -add "#696969" -gradient 0  -center $IMG -blur 4  -center $IMG -write ~/tmp/hset.png

gives....

Change the $IMG variable and get...

Great possibilities for generating backgrounds!

Nope! I had no idea when I chose it, but awesome has it's own notifications, panel with widgets and right-click menu.

H3, thanks mate.  I just noticed the excess RAM usage, I checked system monitor and it is not using as much RAM as the indicator is showing on the bottom panel.

@damo Very nice! hsetroot can create some beautiful gradients when plotted thoughtfully.
@hhh awesome awesome setup, and a damn fine color theme. The tiling way is a good life.
