Re: [SOLVED] Unable to Boot After Full-Upgrade

After creating a root password, booting into recovery mode, and then enabling network connectivity for an ethernet connection, I was able to apt full-upgrade my Unstable partition.  Unfortunately, now when I boot into the partition, I boot into tty 1 mode; IOW, I login from the command prompt...no lightdmLightdm was one of the packages upgraded, so I don't know if that's the issue or if it's something else.

The upgrade process was very odd.  3 or 4 times my computer seemed to hang and I had to perform a hard reboot.  However, everything seems fine now from an apt/dpkg point of view.

Again, the odd thing is that I have the same setup on my laptop and I've had zero problems with Unstable on it.  Must be some conflict with a package(s) and my particular hardware setup on my desktop.
