@ragamatrix
Great screenshots![]()
I have often used Liquorix kernel on testing/sid on my own 'distrolettes' and others...
With stretch about to be released;
https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-a … 00002.html
and with this in mind... I once asked the question to the Liquorix dev about Liquorix+Debian stable;liquorix dev wrote:the liquorix kernel is installable on a 'new' stable for a while because of the gcc version used to build liquorix happens to be still available in the new stable.
As soon as testing/sid gcc version moves on, and liquorix now runs with a newer gcc than by now older but still current stable runs, you can't install any new kernel modules that require that gcc version, ie, the ilquorix version.
http://techpatterns.com/forums/about248 … highlight=
I am not really sure if this will cause issues short or long term when stretch is stable...but just for general info
...unless, of course, you plan to stick with 'testing' or sid...
EDIT: Solution founded in my last post...
Oh Oh... Thanks for these infos, I didn't know that, I thought it was ok because I understood that testing/stretch was compatible with Liquorix kernel... (not good enough in English)
Can you advice me what the best thing I should do ? What's the way to go back with the older kernel ? Regards

@mrneilypops I made some cleaning because I had some strange waste of ressources. I removed the liquorix-kernel and restore the other one (4.9.0-3-amd64), remove pulseaudio for using alsa instead and now everything should be "cleaner" thanks again for your advice about the liquorix's kernels

@ragamatrix
I think you should be OK with a Liquorix kernel if you explicitly stick with 'testing' or 'unstable' repos...
I thought it was an interesting bit of info for the community.
Cheers,
Neil

@ ragamatrix - I'm always stealing things from you - this time the paintbrush wallpaper, I like it.
@ mrneilypops - would you consider putting a little "tips" post in "Scripts, Tutorials & Tips" reference your post here about liquorix kernels. That's quite interesting and shouldn't be hidden in a screenshot thread that will be locked in July and just viewed on occasion after that. We have enough new users here that it will benefit some I'm sure ...
Today's screenshot, just to shock a certain someone, I won't name him but his initials are b-rex:

Since I currently have no bunsen available, I had something trickle...
So, bunsenlabs on kde (mageia5). For this I was in the "territory" of @+loutch and tweaked this Conky.
