@HoaS Forward slashes in the filepaths - is that something you have done, or has Win10 joined the rest of the world?

Ah no, you misunderstand me, sorry.

I meant that there is a Debian jessie package for lemonbar in my "bspwm" repository (it also contains xdo & bspc) — you can grab the i386 .deb directly from this link:

I used the Git for Windows package to install a minimal bash environment — that's a real shell running in Win10

The vim file manager and text editor are running in the native PowerShell though 8)

I'm leaving this post here as proof that I disabled it, if Microsoft re-enables that "feature" I will wipe the little b*****d off my drive.

Win 10 re-enabled it on my system too - pretty sure MS considers that a required feature.

I've never actually checked the uptime if that's what you mean; Windows 10 just sucks the life out of the battery (so, yes it's up) which makes it pretty much useless on this particular Toshiba laptop. I made a bunch of recommended changes and got decent battery life, but with every update Windows 10 resets to defaults. My oldest currently does her school work on it, but once the schoool year is over Windows 10 will probably go away.

Love your wall ... I'd have to reverse the colours - it too bright for me and trim it to the tree as I have a single monitor.
