Also, make sure you have the backported video stack:

sudo apt-get install --target-release jessie-backports linux-image-amd64 xserver-xorg-video-intel libegl1-mesa firmware-misc-nonfree

Hopefully, that should get the i915 driver working; the jessie version of Xorg is too old to recommend the built-in modesetting driver

Installed

sudo apt-get install --target-release jessie-backports linux-image-amd64 xserver-xorg-video-intel libegl1-mesa firmware-misc-nonfree

reboot and no changes.

Output

$ xdpyinfo | grep -A1 dim
  dimensions:    1920x1080 pixels (351x191 millimeters)
  resolution:    139x144 dots per inch

Does your physical screen measure 351mm wide and 191mm high?

Does the latest version of Fedora 23 Workstation edition work correctly in the "live" mode?

The physical size of the screen is: 345mm wide x 195mm high.

Tried Fedora 23 workstation in "live" mode and the display is the same.

I installed gvidm to try to ajust the display and it just has one option (1920x1080)

Well then I'm afraid that is as good as it gets.

Try fiddling with the font sizes and themes.

I see... Well the graphic definition is very good, the only downside is that the font is a bit smaller than usual, but definitely it is much better now, sound working, wireless working and graphics with better quality.
