[Gushing about Alpine Linux]

Better than Debian?

"Better" is very subjective, don't you think?

Better at what, exactly?

For my systems, yes I do prefer it over Debian.

Debian tries to help too much and is far too abstracted and complicated for my tastes.

However, Debian is the *perfect* operating system for my partner smile

Here's another operating system I prefer over Debian for personal use:

Re: April 2016 screenshots

^ You are quite a distro hopper! I'm too, btw.
I tried a lot, but not Alpine. That's why I asked.

My favourite now is actually Windows 10, and my favourite Linux is based off AliyaLinux (Testing at that time, but now just Jessie.)

Debian + Xfce4 + Kwin (once was Testing, now Jessie) Had Firefox all the time.

LOL! I'm "Uncle Hassy" because I was live-in au pair for my best friends' daughter for 4 years. That kid's head is on pretty straight, and her vocabulary at age 7 is dynamite, as it was at age 4.

She was 4 and used a 5 syllable word properly in a sentence at a party. Her GrandDad looked at me and said "Nice, Uncle Hassy!"

No, he can't sleep on the floor. What do you think I'm yelling for?!!!

Clustered 10 machines together running R code for my thesis.
Back on Openbox after a long, long hiatus with Cinnamon. Cinnamon is still very slick, but maybe not worth the extra weight for what I need my machine for. Also, tmux is amazing.

Re: April 2016 screenshots

@Panda, thanks so much!

Yup, just like that smile R interfaces with MPI super easy, so I made a bunch of USB Arch installs, booted 10 computers from the USB, then set the code going. I just hope the days of running it churns out useful stuff!
