Re: April 2016 screenshots

@ brontosaurusrex, very nice  smile

Bubuntu? Budgiebuntu? or some damn thing?  The devs call it 'Budgie Remix' Ubuntu 16.04 w/ Budgie desktop and it's actually quite polished and very nice. You need add the gnome-tweak-tool but has Arc & Vertex themes and Moka icon set installed.

Re: April 2016 screenshots

^

So how was this hacked together? I’ve added my budgie PPA. Hand-cranked a wallpaper, icon and theme via directly editing some base operating files.  LightDM logon screen has been edited manually.

Quite honest, isn't it?

Yes, very and apparently their intention is to become an official Ubuntu flavor... Time will tell. It's not my cup of tea and I only used the live environment but the experience was an enjoyable one.

Just installed the ppa. Only thing lacking is the ability to autohide the panel, which was there in Solus.

Solus here, https://forums.bunsenlabs.org/viewtopic … 818#p20818

Is it lighter than GNOME?

Re: April 2016 screenshots

^ Installed on Ubuntu 16.04, so all I can say is it is fast. Btw, Ubuntu is fast too. Ubuntu Gnome is much slower. Anyway, to really feel how fast/good Budgie is, must install the real one, Solus. I always liked Ikey's creations.
