I love this movie for many reasons, but I think it's Carrie Fischer who makes the devil-in-the-details of this film for me.

Re: BunsenLabs film thread

Last night I saw Tightrope (1984), an Eastwood police  detective movie. Nothing revolutionary, exactly what you would expect, but well directed and good-looking dark scenes.

A while back I watched Raising Arizona (1987), a classic Cage movie and quite full of catchy phrases that make good quotes smile

No, sir, no way.

Okay, then. <--- esp. this smile

Meanwhile, I saw Swallow (2019), Sea of Love (1989), Flight of the Phoenix (2004).

Next up is Marnie (1964), a Hitchcock film.

Tonight, we watched Casino (1995), a true gangster classic with de Niro.

I also rewatched Lord of War (2005) and The Wolf of Wallstreet (2013).

Some fun from the 1920s:
Harold Lloyd has a new car.
The first text frame lasts for some two minutes.

Here's a weird one: Easy Rider (1969). Pretty good scenes though.

It's been considered an American film classic for a loooooong time! Definitely weird (Dennis Hopper, need I say more) and I won't spoil the ending.

Saw two John Wayne movies: The Cowboys (1972), and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence (1962). Esp. The Cowboys is a very good picture. I like the style of these two movies, simple yet expressive.
